  • Peugeot Fox parts and a few questions.

I'm rebuilding a 95 Fox. I've taken everything off the frame and painted it.

I'm looking at cylinders, carburetors and exhaust, the radiatovariator has been replaced with Malossi Multivar.
the cable harness has been fixed multiple times it seems like so I'm replacing it. I want turn signals, from the diagram I found it looks like I just need the switch and relay to get it to work.

I'm looking at aluminium and steel cylinders, what's the difference?
there's heads with and without decompression, is that for stopping the engine? How do you stop one without it?
What is connected where on the carburetor?

I'm looking at aluminium and steel cylinders, what's the difference?

You have cast iron cylinders and you have aluminum cylinders with a nicasil wall what is many times harder than the cast iron wall.
The hard coating, which is composed of nickel and silicon carbide, provides a durable surface, which considerably extends the service life of the cylinder.

You turn the key, which stops the engine.
That is to make it easier to start so that there is not much counter-compression, there is a small handle on the handlebar for decompression.

What is connected where on the carburetor?
If its a Gurtner than see picture.

I just got a new EBR fork and bearings, there was a piece mounted on the steering rod when I got it. Where should it be placed?

Basically the mounting is the same as the fork coming out.

Previous owner has done a lot with this one :(

I got the cables for the front and rear missing its connectors.

wiring diagram didn't help much, except that yellow are for lights?

          this Fox doesn't have indicators

it doesn't get any oil from the tank, does the big port on the pump go to the pump and the small one to the carburetor?
Or do I need to prime it? I didn't see any oil in the filter.

Thick hose from tank goes to pump, from which a smaller hose comes to carburetor.
On the thick hose there is also some kind of oil filter between tank and pump.

You must bleed the pump and have hoses filled before you start!

I'm going to replace the stator on my Fox that has a black CDI, since it's black is my Fox made in Belgium?

Also does anyone know the difference between these two HPI stators?

I have no idea if it has to do with a country, I think with the year of construction.

Peugeot with a blue ordinary CDI with a connection with 3 cables.( CDI UNIT PEUGEOT FOX BLUE (WITHOUT PICKUP)
Suitable for Speedfight, Trekker, Buxy, Fox, 103, ... 12v without pick-up.

Beware: That model is very specific. can not on Peugeot moped with a normal black CDI with 5 cable.

Also does anyone know the difference between these two HPI stators?
I have no idea, does it make sense for a fox
